With the launch of the Taiko mainnet earlier this year, we also launched the Trailblazers program. This initiative was designed to inspire curiosity and exploration of the Taiko ecosystem, with the added benefit of rewarding our most dedicated network participants. Despite a few rough patches along the way, Season 1 has been a great success. We saw dozens of projects deploying on Taiko, including some native projects choosing Taiko as their home. Additionally, hundreds of thousands of participants answered the call of Taiko to discover what Ethereum's only Based L2 has to offer. We are proud of the growth we've achieved and are excited about what's to come.

It's been an incredible 90 days since we announced the mainnet launch of Taiko, the very first based rollup! In this short time, we've not only achieved remarkable milestones but also reshaped the Ethereum community's understanding of rollups. Taiko has proven that a rollup can be fully compatible with Ethereum, both technically and philosophically. This journey wouldn't have been possible without our incredible community – thank you for your unwavering support and enthusiasm!

Exciting news, Trailblazers! We’re thrilled to announce that the Call of Taiko, in collaboration with Stargate Finance and several other DeFi protocols, is launching a special Trail to end Season 1 of Trailblazer with a bang. Starting on August 19th, 2024, this initiative aims to unify liquidity and reduce asset fragmentation across Taiko-based dApps and ecosystem projects.

The Trailblazers: Call of Taiko campaign continues with some great news for the new trail! Considering the fame around gaming on Taiko, we’re excited to announce the 7th trail will also be the gaming trail and it will last for 2 weeks! Enough time to play games you played on the previous trail but also to explore the new games coming to Taiko!

We are thrilled to announce that Taiko’s multi-prover adopts SP1 as a ZK Prover to secure L2 execution. SP1 is a performant, open-source zero-knowledge virtual machine (zkVM) developed by Succinct Labs. By executing Taiko’s block builder based on Reth, an Ethereum client in Rust, we leverage SP1 to derive succinct proofs to validate the rollup state. Additionally, we are enthusiastic about our collaboration with Succinct and proud to contribute to SP1’s precompile ecosystem.
