TL;DR

To kickstart an amazing journey through Taiko Mainnet, we’ve allocated rewards for both our users and dApps building on Taiko. 10 million TAIKO will be allocated to our users, and 2 million Taiko will be allocated for dApps on Taiko during our first season which will last for 3 months!

How does it work?

Starting today, the Trailblazers ranking kicks off! Your on-chain activities as a user will help you collect XP points. We will consider the following activities to help you collect points. Bridging (ETH) Bridging (ERC20) Transaction Volume on ETH & USDC (more to come soon!) Transaction Count; any kind of transaction counts! Block proposals

As a reminder to all our users, there will be 8 faction badges that will act as multipliers on Trailblazers. You’ll be able to collect a different faction every week. Each Faction badge you collect will give you a 1.1x XP multiplier, the more Faction badges you collect, the more they stack and the more XP you acquire. Collecting all of the 8 badges will provide you with a maximum of 2.14x XP multiplier for the duration of the Trailblazers program so make sure to collect them all. If you don’t manage to collect all of the badges, no sweat, our Faction badges are tradable and if by any chance, any community member wants to (maybe) sell them, you will be able to (maybe) buy them on a marketplace very soon.

Note 1:* We retroactively started assigning XP to our users since the launch of our Mainnet, so don’t be surprised if you see your starting XP not being on 0!*

Note 2:* If you sell your Faction badge(s) before the end of the season, you will lose the accumulated multiplied Experience Points by the number of Faction badges sold/moved from your wallet. I.e. If you’ve collected 8 badges, you have a 2.14x multiplier, but if you sell one you will have a 1.95x XP multiplier. Also, did we say that those multipliers will last for the whole Trailblazer program duration?*

Note 3:* If you buy NFTs mid-season you will have your past and current accumulated multiplied XP shown in your profile right away!*

How will the ranking be structured?

We will apply a dynamic percentile system for ranking, where each level accommodates a fixed percentage of participants, making rankings mobile for users. As levels progress, the percentile range reduces, decreasing the number of users per level and significantly increasing rewards for higher tiers. This non-linear reward distribution promotes fairness and motivates all participants to aim higher. The top two levels will share a pool of 1 Million tokens, while the remaining 9 million tokens will be distributed among the other levels, with higher levels generally receiving exponentially more rewards.

Remember: The more activities you do, the more XP you will get during the season, and the more XP you collect, the higher level your profile will become, but remember that, as the ranking is based on percentiles, other users may move you to lower levels during the season. If you want to be competitive, gain them back! Fight for your level and make sure you finish as high as possible! The higher the profile level - the higher the rewards at the end of the season, and for the top 2 levels - 1 Million TAIKO tokens to be shared!

What about dApps?

For our dear ecosystem partners, there will be a separate ranking that will also last for one season. All applications whose activity is trackable by Smart Contracts on the chain are welcome to participate. We will track activities such as UAW, Total Transactions generated, Gas used and TVL. There will also be different campaigns running in parallel tailored for dApps on specific verticals to compete - like small competitions for a shorter period of time (1 month). We are starting with a bridging competition!

So, what are the rewards?

12 Million TAIKO tokens will be claimable in our first season; 10 Million TAIKO will be allocated to our on-chain users during the first season, of which one million will be exclusively allocated to the top 2 levels in this season: LEGEND (LVL 14) and Densetsu (LVL 13). Getting to this level is hard, but the rewards will be juicy. 2 Million TAIKO will be allocated to the dApps building on Taiko

Note:* Galxe participants will have their Galxe points converted into XP, which will provide them with an XP boost corresponding to their Galxe points collected during our testnets. To convert Galxe points into Trailblazers XP, users will be required to sign a contract which will be made available via the Trailblazer website in the upcoming days.*

How will rewards be distributed?

At the end of each season, all eligible users will be able to claim their rewards. The claiming period will last for 30 days.

Season Reset and Leveling System

To level some field each season, we are implementing a couple of security measures:

• There's a cap limit on the number of points per category per day to even the field for all users.

• Each season, everyone’s XP will be reset, but users from the previous season will gain a small bonus (potentially a percent) of their previous season’s XP.
