Badge Recruitment for Trailblazers is Live!

Hello, Trailblazers!

In our Season 2 announcement, we mentioned that Season 1 Badges would transcend and bring new possibilities for Trailblazers. Now, we’re excited to unveil Badge Recruitment, a brand-new mechanic that takes to the streets of Neo Nakuza! Owners of Raver, Robot, and Bouncer Season 1 badges can recruit Season 2 badges until next Monday, December 9, at 12:00 noon UTC.

What Do You Need to Know About Badge Recruitment?

We encourage our Trailblazers to explore and discover the mechanics of this process on their own. After all, that’s what being a Trailblazer is all about! To start, check out the “Badge Recruitment” tab on your Trailblazers profile.

Here are some key facts to guide you along the way.

What is Recruiting?

The Devs are out in full force, searching for new recruits to join their Faction. The Badge Recruitment tab is where you can send any Dev NFTs (Season 1 Badges) you control to recruit new members to your cause. Your Dev will always return with one new member from one of two Teams: the Minnows or the Whales, and the recruit will always belong to the same Faction as the Dev that recruited them (e.g., if you recruit with a Bouncer NFT, the new recruit will either be a Whale Bouncer or a Minnow Bouncer). It takes 24 hours for your Dev to return with a new member. Once you send your Dev out, it will remain staked for the rest of the Season.

Important: While your Dev is staked, you won’t be able to take advantage of all their skills, meaning you’ll lose the multipliers they would normally provide.

What is Influence?

As your Dev is out looking for Recruits you can give them orders to target a specific Team to join your cause. Every time you give your Dev the order to Influence a particular Team, it will increase your chances of your Dev returning with a member of that Team. Every time you give your Dev orders to Influence a particular Team you will see the number increase above that Team on the Recruit Influence page.

If you change your mind about which Team you want to Influence you can select the other Team, and it will reset the Influence counter to 1 for your new target. You can give Influence orders to your Dev once every 1 hour.

How often can I recruit new members?

Recruitment occurs in cycles. At the beginning of each cycle, it will be announced which Factions are available for recruitment during the limited period. During each cycle, every user can recruit one member from the available Faction(s), plus 1 free recruitment if they qualify.

How can you get a free recruitment? Well, sometimes you don’t even need to send a Dev out to do your dirty work—Recruits may come looking for you. This typically happens when you’re making a big name for yourself by participating in other events, such as the Faction Battle Arena or Liquidity Royale. During a free recruitment, you’ll also have the option to Influence the Team you recruit, but you won’t need to stake a Dev to do so.

What are the different Teams, and what do they do?

• The Devs (S1 Badges): The OGs—the ones who build and make everything possible. For every unique Dev you control, you’ll receive +0.05x to your Global XP multiplier.

• The Whales: The big players with deep pockets, making splashes in DeFi. For every unique Whale you control, you’ll receive +0.05x to your Transaction Value XP multiplier.

• The Minnows: Small but numerous, they compensate for limited funds with high activity. For every unique Minnow you control, you’ll receive +0.05x to your Transaction XP multiplier.

How many Faction Badges are there to collect?

There are a total of 24 Trailblazer Faction Badges. The 3 Teams—Devs, Minnows, and Whales—are further divided into 8 Factions: Ravers, Robots, Bouncers, Masters, Monks, Androids, Drummers, and Shinto.
