The Process

Just like in Season 1, we kicked off with a Sybil analysis to identify bad-faith players followed by an internal review. During the Sybil analysis, we identified participants who gained an unfair advantage, including Season 2 Badge abuse—where badges were transferred from side accounts to main accounts. Since this created an unfair advantage across multiple wallets, we eliminated those who engaged in such actions. Our analysis also included an AML check, leading to blacklisting when necessary.

Wallets with fewer than 30 transactions were excluded to ensure fair and spam-free reward distribution.

After these eliminations, levels were recalculated based on the remaining player count. Multipliers were then applied to determine the final ranks. We also analyzed transactions made while holding NFTs, and from this, the final leaderboard was formed.

Regarding Season 2 Multipliers

The goal was to apply multipliers in real-time and have them boost points for the duration they were held. However, we didn’t have time to reindex the entire season and apply the Devs, Taikoon, and Snaefell global multipliers on a block-by-block basis. Instead, we applied these multipliers to your total points at the end of the Season, just like in Season 1.

To reward those who held these NFTs for a longer time, we devised a compromise that provides an advantage:

Snapshots were taken at the end of Season 1 and the end of Season 2.
If you held these NFTs at the end of Season 1, 35% of the multiplier was applied to your total Season 2 points.
If you held them at the end of Season 2, 65% of the multiplier was applied.

While this approach isn’t perfect, it does favor those who held the NFTs the longest. If you held the NFTs throughout the entire Season, you received the full bonus.

Regarding the Season 2 Badges, now referred to as “Recruited Badges,” they were only counted starting from the time they went live on-chain, which was roughly a week after the first recruitments. The upside is that if you held Devs, Taikoon, and Snaefell during that time, the multiplier was applied twice—compensating for the badges not being applied during the initial week.
