Just over a year ago in June, we launched Trailblazers, a program that rewards Taiko mainnet participants every three months. Thanks to the incredible interest and passion from our community, it quickly became one of the most successful community initiatives to date.

Now, we are ready to take Trailblazers even further, building around a focused community that believes in the based future being shaped by Taiko.

Community Feedback

We’ve always valued how vocal our community is, especially when it comes to the reward distribution process. After introducing the Trailblazers role, we listened and observed. The response was overwhelmingly positive. While we can’t reveal all our plans just yet, we’re confident that true Trailblazers will love what’s ahead.

The Importance of the Trailblazers Role

When we introduced the Trailblazers role at the start of the season through Guild, many of you claimed it before we even announced the benefits. That’s exactly the Trailblazer spirit. Now it’s time to explain why this role matters.

-Those who hold the Trailblazers role will receive 100 percent of the rewards they have earned for their level. (Along with a few extra surprises that will arrive later on 👀)

-Those without the role will receive only 50 percent of their rewards for the season.

This applies to Season 4 rewards. The Trailblazers role was made available on June 16, and you have until July 10, 2025, to claim it. After that, the role will be closed until Season 4 rewards are ready to be claimed.

Please keep in mind that Sybil checks will still be enforced. Holding the role does not protect Sybil users from elimination.

Claiming the role is simple. We’ve kept the proof of humanity score threshold low because we know some real users may be unable or simply unwilling to complete certain steps like KYC. We designed it to be as inclusive as possible.

We also heard the community’s feedback, which mostly pushed for a higher threshold, and we believe we’ve struck the right balance.

Trailblazers Move Forward

To date, including the upcoming Season 4 rewards, the Trailblazers program has distributed nearly 30 million TAIKO tokens. If you include the Genesis Airdrop, that total rises to 80 million. This demonstrates our strong commitment to supporting the community.

We understand that this update may lead to changes in participation, but we also believe that the true Trailblazers who continue will gain even more from their involvement.

To keep things balanced, we’re also increasing the daily point limits for Tx Value and Transaction Points. New limit will 100k base points (before multipliers) for each

. This change will take effect on June 30, 2025.

With the Based Preconfirmations era just around the corner, now is the perfect time to become even more active and passionate about what lies ahead. Big things are coming.
